On the one hand, the social impact of tourism has lots of benefits. Developing infraestructure, or services and earning more money for the incoming country are just some of these advantages. For example, in 1974 Germany hosted the Football World Cup. It was also celebrated in Munich. So, in order to keep up with the World Cup, Munich had to create a entire new stadium, and develop new ways of transportation. However, it had some bad connotations. the local culture is always affected by the incoming culture, that in this example was from all around the World.

 

Even though, Munich is a city that has always, and will always be, influented by tourists. As it was founded on 1158, it has a lot of history. Loads of castles and palaces are built there, and are a very interesting part of the tourist attractions (available at Must Do). Neuschwanschtein is a great example of it.  Tourist are nowadays the thing that affects this historical monuments for the best and the worst. Many of these attractions charge a very small amount of money for the visiting, and probably all of them have a Gift Shop, so they can earn a lot of money for the government or for its owner. In contrast, tourists can make a monument decay. Just for visiting one of these old buildings and exceed its capacity. As they are old, and most of them with bad foundations, they can get to the point of being closed in order to keep the safety of the people in there
