Marienplatz is the central sqaure of Munich. In there it is, the Old and the New Town Hall of Munich, a well-known golden statue of the Virgin Mary. It also helds the Glockenspiel carillon, a famous clock that at 11 am sounds and 32 fiugres start dancing Barvarian stories.
It was founded on 1158. The picture shows a representation of an old time in the Marienplatz, and it shows that it was a social place.
